In my practice, I integrate technology into both my clinical and administrative processes to improve the accessibility, timeliness, and quality of the services we provide.

In order to make communication with myself and my staff more effective and efficient, I am currently utilizing a service provided by "RelayHealth".  The "Online Office" will open in a new window where, after registering, you will be able to:

  1. Request or cancel appointments
  2. Request refills, (there will be a charge if you have not already scheduled your next appointment).
  3. Ask me brief questions between scheduled visits.
  4. If you are overdue for an appointment, I may ask you to complete a WebVisit, (this is a payable service).
  5. Contact my office for administrative matters
  6. Much of the content provided by this service is geared for the medical/surgical patient rather than our patient population. You may find some of it useful, but it is the services provided that hold the value for us.

 


Except for WebVisits as noted above, there will be no charge for this service.

Getting started
Registering for Online Access To Our Office

The registration process is quick and easy¾it should just take a few minutes. There is no fee to register for this service.

 

1.       To get started, give us your e-mail address and we will send you an e-mail invitation to register. The e-mail will contain a temporary password and instructions.

2.       Or, register yourself by going to www.relayhealth.com and clicking Register. When prompted, select Dr. Dale Giolas as your doctor..

3.       To ensure security, we must Accept your application before you can use the service. Please allow 24 hours following registration for our office to process your registration.

How is RelayHealth Different From E-mail?
Unlike e-mail, which relies on multiple servers distributed across the Internet, RelayHealth protects the privacy and confidentiality of our communications. All RelayHealth messages are delivered to a Web browser using 128-bit, secure-socket layer encryption technology. Messages are never stored anywhere but on the secure server, and they cannot be read en route, deleted, copied, or altered in any way. The service requires a sign in name and password, and can only be accessed by registered users (you, me, and my authorized staff).
To Communicate With My Office Using RelayHealth
To get started, register with RelayHealth at www.relayhealth.com and select me as one of your doctors. There is no fee to register for this service.

Overview of Services You Can Request Using RelayHealth

Using the RelayHealth service, you can:
·         Schedule appointments
·         Request prescription renewals
·         Request lab results
·         Request an online consultation (webVisitTM)
·         Send brief questions

This service is appropriate for minor medical matters like routine follow up regarding test results, medication adjustments, treatment monitoring, and minor symptoms you may be experiencing.

My Responsibilities Regarding Online Communication

·         My office will respond to your RelayHealth messages within 24 hours.
·         My office will never forward any of your information or messages to a third party without your permission.

·         Don’t use RelayHealth for urgent messages. If you have an urgent condition, call my office immediately, or dial 911.
